Davao And Bukidnon Travel

Hi Im Kiko and this my first travel blog......

What a way to start a blog than to go to a place your familiar with Davao City. Davao city is the Home town of Our President , Rodrigo Roa Duterte and It is the biggest city in the Philippines. Davao is a clean city with less traffic except for rush hours though. Upon arrival i hoped in to a cab and checked in my bags to NorthZEN hotel and start my adventure in the city, I was excited getting lost in the city of Davao going through streets looking for Peoples park to my shocked the park closes at 10am and reopened at around 1pm so i decided to take a long walk again to Davao City hall and take pictures there. For Someone whos travelliong alone and your lost in the city dont worry you can ask people around for direction Davaoenoes are friendly. After A some selfies and Videos I went to Museo Dabawenyo which is 10 min walk to away from Davao City hall and in front of a park. Museo Dabawenyo is A small Old House that houses Davaos rich cultural history and entrance for the guided tour around the museum is for free yep thats right guys its for free, photos and videos are prohibited inside some areas in the museum you can ask the guide where it is allowed to take photos for souvenir shot inside the it. after the fun times in the museum i proceed to meet a friend he's nearby the museum before heading to Peoples Park once again and luckily it was open already the park is a small park in the center of the city where some locals jog, it is also a place where you can rest and have a peaceful time with friends or family where you can let the kids play at the park grounds as there are security inside the park some part of the park are closed due to renovations after lurking around Peoples park i went to a food stall to get some refreshment before going to Queensland Park with my Friend Giovanni and his kids. Queensland Park is about 20-30 min ride from Peoples park as we headed there chasing the sunset, The park is a beachfront park where you can see the replica sculpture of David sadly the park is not being maintained some of the locals told me it has a case and is being closed due to environmental concerns, As i am waiting for a good lighting for my shots i saw some locals who came to visit the place and why not even in this state the park is suprisingly peaceful and calming. My day in Davao came to a close as i headed back to my hotel to rest and get ready for my journey to Maramag Bukidnon my dads home town.

Maramag, Bukidnon The 3wheeler Comedic adventure

From Davao to Maramag, Bukidnon is a 4 hour trip depending on the road condition, Bukidnon is a land locked municipality with vast mountain rane It is accesible thru bus via Cagayan de Oro or Davao. In this trip ill be staying at my House in Maramag, Bukidnon, Maramag is a small town with a laid back feel and is a quiet place to stay. The Place is Nostalgic for me because this is my Dads hometown and where i spent my early childhood that is why my first day is spent visiting my Dads Final resting place and give respect. After the that we embark on a journey of comedic proportion using an Old tricycle which they call Motorella as the vehicle hit the road running at a slow pace from Maramag to Pulangi Lake took us about 20 mins Pulangi Lake is the second largest watershed in the country and it is man made . From the Highway the road going into the shed is rough patch of stones and dirt as we reached the place i find the place relaxing and enjoy looking at the lake and took some photos of its landscape after that we head on to Quezon Bukidnon and go to a resort called Luan Luan Spring resort as we pass by San Jose my Uncle told me should visit a relative there to say hello, We left our vehichle on the side of the dirt road and walk for almost 10 mins to reach a sugar cane plantation and to our suprise there is a double birthday celebration we were welcomed and to their suprise too. We are treated for a feast of Lechon, cakes, Pancit, Menudo, Kakanin (rice cakes) and a shot of tequila a far cry from their favorite brand of Tanduay. As we excuse ourselves from the party to head back to the our motorella and head to Luan Luan spring resort in Quezon Bukidnon, When we arrive at the resort its jam packed with people too crowded so i decided not to go in and rest for a while. As im resting my uncle checked the old reliable rella for another journey going back home as we head back i find it comedic, relaxing, fun day in my travel with this 3 wheeled offroader called motorella. After a week I had another attempt to get to the bluewater cave in Quezon Bukidnon with a different cast this time and a more convienient 4x4 truck they called Bonggo after 15 minute journey we arrived in our destination and headed to Barangay Tourist Center for a briefing and Log in , then ask for a guide since the place is very slippery due to rainy condition the guide told as that if the condition is unfavorable to us we should head back and set the hike for another day.We hiked for atleast 30 mins and we faced a rappel down a slippery slope headed down to the cave but we manage to pull it off nontheless to my delight i saw the cave and saw the water the clear water inside the guide said we can take a dip inside the cave and if we want there is another cave just the otherside so after a rest a take a dip inside the cave and the water is cold brrrrr.... inside the cave the water is raging so you have to be carefull or youll end up in the raging river but it was all fun . After an hour we decided to go up and head home to eat before going to another place called Lake Apo. Lake Apo is said to be form when a great flood happened sometime ago the place was a farm land that was flooded and made into a lake the lake is situated in Brgy. Guinoroyan Valencia Bukidnon there are two access to going to Lake Apo one is from Valencia and one from Dologon and we take The Dologon route coz its much easier to access but the road conditions are rough so you need to take extra precaution. Approaching the lake we taught that it was closed because the gates where locked but someone approach as and tell us that it was open so we jump out of the truck and head to the Lake Park and saw the majestic beauty the scenic mountains sorrounding it the place is quiet where you can relax and buy out time and take a dip in the water. The balsa rent is three hundred fifty pesos for two hours and we rented one to enjoy the lakes charm, I took a dip in the lake with a vest on for all you know im not a good swimmer but i love water so i jumped in for a while, It was all fun and relaxing time inside the lake and in the bamboo raft it was definitely a time well spent. Before going back to manila the next day i planned a trip going to Overview in Quezon Bukidnon its about an Hour and half ride from Maramag there you can see the scenic view of mountain ranges of Bukidnon its Like Tagaytay City of Mindanao the place is more of a stop over view of the place but its great to see none the less and we also hiked the Helipad a much hifher view of the place there is no entrance fee for the facility its best to chill during sunsets i had the best time chillin there before getting ready for tommorows trip going back to manila. I arrange some of the photos and Videos of this trip hope to you find it worth trying the trip to Mindanao and blend with the people there...... Thanx for reading see you on my next adventure and hope to hear from you..........
